Dear students, applications for Fall Semester 2026 "Student Learning Community Course Crowdfunding" have officially begun! Turn your passion into academic credits! As long as you find partners to explore a topic of interest, pass the review, and complete the project, you can successfully earn 2 elective credits in General Education, plus a chance to win cash prizes in the final competition! (Note: A maximum of 2 credits can be recognized from student learning communities during your study period)
Application Guidelines
Any currently enrolled student can form a team of 3 to 8 members (cross-Department, cross-system, and cross-grade levels are allowed) and invite 1 full-time or part-time Teacher from our university to serve as the advisor! Each student can join up to 2 groups. Please note: at least 1 representative from each group must attend both the "Orientation" and the "Final Presentation", or your qualification and funding will be canceled!
Application Schedule
1.Online Application: From now until Monday, Sept 21, 2026, 12:00 PM. The convener must complete the online application form (https://reurl.cc/OQvdQg).
2.Hardcopy Submission: After receiving the system email, print the application form double-sided, obtain approval signatures following the path "Convener → Advisory Teacher → Convener's Department Chair → College Dean", and submit it to the Center for Teaching and Learning Development on Building L, 1st Floor before Tuesday, Sept 22, 2026, 17:00.
3.Key Timeline: Review period Sept 23–30, 2026; Results announcement expected on Oct 1, 2026; Execution period Oct 1 to Dec 15, 2026; Final Results Competition Date expected on Dec 24, 2026 (Thu) .
Community Requirements
1.Complete at least 36 hours of on-campus meetings/activities during the execution period (e.g., lectures, group discussions, practical workshops, field visits, exhibitions).
2.Submit final deliverables by Dec 18, 2026 (Fri) 12:00 PM:
(1)Hard copy (Submit to Building L, 1st Floor, Center for Teaching and Learning Development): 36-hour activity record and sign-in sheet endorsed by the advisory Teacher, final report, and final self-evaluation form.
(2)Electronic Files (Email to cdt@g2.usc.edu.tw): Final report, A1 poster file (84.1cm x 59.4cm / 100dpi), and final competition slides (max 10 pages).
Grants and Competition Prizes
1. Approved communities can apply for student incentives, and the advising Teacher receives a guidance stipend of NT$2,000. The final competition is scheduled for Dec 24, 2026 (Thu). The top 3 teams receive NT$5,000, NT$4,000, and NT$3,000 respectively, with 2 merit awards receiving NT$2,000 each! (*Grant amounts subject to semester budget adjustments; Spring Semester 2026 amounts provided for reference.)
2.Those who pass review and successfully complete execution, upon approval by the Self-Directed Learning Committee, will be granted 2 elective General Education credits in the following semester. (Note: Credit limit capped at 2 credits per student during enrolment).
